Our team
We are a small team, there are only 10 of us, but we have big ambitions when it comes to turning the tide on plastic pollution.
Behind Sea Change is a family wine business founded by Toby and Bill over 15 years ago. Toby and Bill have always felt strongly that business has a responsibility to the environment. With this in mind, it was a casual discussion in 2018 between them and Simon and Ian, who run the UK side of the business, about the impact of plastic on our oceans, that ignited the idea for Sea Change.
This view is echoed by the whole team, and since its conception Sea Change has evolved for all of us into something much bigger, a movement in itself, a reason to look at our behaviours and make the conscious decision to change.
John O’Sullivan is leading Sea Change in Ireland. John says: “I am delighted to be heading Sea Change in Ireland. It was a natural choice for me having grown up near the sea and being lucky enough to be a regular visitor to Achill Island with its incredible beaches and coastline. It’s great to be able to offer Sea Change Wine in Ireland and help protect our oceans at the same time.”
About Us
Everyone has a role to play in protecting our oceans.
We want to combine our love of great wine with our desire to do something to help protect our oceans.
Turning the tide on the juggernaut that is plastic pollution is only going to happen if we all make changes, even small ones, and this is where the wine you choose can play a role.
With the removal of the unnecessary plastic wrap around the cork, the use of renewable plant-based closures and the paper for the labels coming from certified sustainable forests and made partially from grape waste, combined with a donation to marine charities from every bottle sold we think choosing Sea Change does make a difference.
